Muay Thai sparring is putting the techniques and combinations you have learned in training into practice. It is essential for fighters to improve their skills. The purpose of Muay Thai sparring is to make you and your partner better. At our gym if you are training for fitness you do not have to spar if you would prefer not to.
Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on grappling, especially on ground work and judo is also a part of BJJ. BJJ is founded on the concept that a smaller weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent. BJJ is considered a martial art, a sport, a method for promoting physical fitness and building character and a way of life.
They are 2 forms of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The gi class is done in the traditional gi which is a heavy cotton jacket , reinforced drawstring trousers and a belt which communicates rank. the Nogi calss is done in a rashguard/t-shirt and shorts.
